To Each His Own

Photobucket

^ This should clarify a lot about my view on makeup. Ohwait, it explains everything perfectly. Although I should have labelled dramatic as 'no go zone' instead.

Anyway, GRRR! I'm so sick of people questioning my choice of makeup style. The way I see it, I am probably wearing the same amount of makeup as the next girl -if she's wearing noticeable makeup that is. Just smaller doses of this & larger doses of that. Not to mention DIFFERENT SHADES, hello people! Subtle & bold shades makes a huge difference in appearance & we could be wearing the exact same amount.

A majority of people aren't warmed up to the idea of contact lens & false eyelashes, that I completely understand but it doesn't mean they should label those who wear these as over the top, it just makes them seem small minded. Very small.

I don't have to explain myself but I'm so frustrated when my so called friends question me. Let me clear some things up.

- I don't go all hectic on my eyes because I want big wide dolly eyes. I'm actually going for that narrow & long sorta eyes, like Kim Kardashion, Megan Fox or Maiko Takahashi eyes sorta thing.

- I wear contact lens because I adore the unique designs & colours, not because I dislike my own natural colour. I have decades of my senior years to show off my natural eye colour but in the meantime while I'm still young, I'm going to freak out everyone with a new eye colour per day.

- I wear false lashes because I prefer the designs over natural lashes coated heavily with mascara. I don't like mascara. Kim Kardashian looks gorgeous with mascara but I have yet to see a non celebrity with nicely applied mascara. It looks very messy & clumpy, icky. Oh wait... Ekimura is actually the only non celebrity that I've seen with perfectly applied mascara... & I have tried to mimic her application with my DollyWink Long Mascara but I fail :(

- I wear foundation because yes I am insecure. About my facial skin tone that is. I don't have hyper pigmentation but I have a Homer Simpson 5am shadow, lol srs. Also some slight redness around my nostrils & light acne scaring, but that fades away eventually. Nothing bad, nearly everyone has uneven skin tones but I hate it & my face is probably at least 10x lighter than the rest of my body. (Oh & I only contour my whole face on days I'm going to take pictures, always contour my nose out of habit on days I wear makeup though.)

I don't want to look like the other Asian girls with one stroke of eyeliner, two coats of mascara, blush, lip gloss & foundation, it's very boring but I don't think my makeup application is unique & distinctive. It's average. To each his own, right?

I've written this post because I have a close male friend who tries to dilute me before introducing me to his pack of friends which I never asked for! It's so frustrating he sits & tells me I'm pretty but also while trashing bits of my appearance. I know he's trying to get me to rid myself of the extensions, wigs, contacts & lashes & it cuts me deep bro. Sndnakjdkabcaanaakjbfvbsfv!!

I know from this post it seems like I wear makeup on a daily basis but I honestly don't. I will admit I used to but these days I have disciplined myself not to.

I hope someone understands what I'm trying to conceive with all these jumbled words.

QUESTION: Can someone please suggest a medium to full coverage BB cream for me? I need to improve the condition of my skin. I want to eventually stop wearing foundation. I'm leaning towards Skin79 VIP Gold Super Plus only because the colour pink kinda repulses me now.... I have normal skin. Please help.

Namaste people :)

Half Assed HeadBand Tutorial

Photobucket

Hello all :) The other day I made myself a few headbands. All my other headbands similar to this one had tough elastic in them, which gave me the most irritating headache only after a few minutes of wearing them.

Photobucket

Well on with the small tut. I've cut a piece of fabric with these measurements 17 & a half inches (Length) & 8 inches (Width). The width can be any length, I've just made mine wider. The wider the width, it gives a more gathered appearance which I prefer.

Secondly fold the material in half & sew it together along the top. Flip it out. Now with a tinier piece of fabric, make a little tube. I don't think that needs any explaining...

Photobucket

Shove the bigger piece of fabric into the smaller tube & then fold the bigger tube in half. Sew the ends together, flip it out the other way and cover the sewed bit with the little tube. Voila, ladies & gents. Your snugly fitted headband is now finished & ready to wear.

I adore the leopard velvet one I've made. I know it has more of an autumn/winter feel to it but here the weather is still clinging onto winter! Which sucks cos I'm so keen to get my tan on :(

Photobucket

Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I'm going to be revving up the artist gene within me. I was going to study but as you can see... I tried & found a dead centipede in my text book! I think that's a sign that finance just isn't my thing (It's so damn boring)... Not that I'm going to drop the subject. Now that would be a total waste.

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely or party rockin' weekend.

In My Vanity Box

Photobucket

Kean from Vanity Box let me pick a handful (Or two) of goodies from VanityBox.Com.Au. I picked a lot of their accessories. They have a dazzling selection & best of all they have my favourite type of accessories. Super delicate thin chains & rings! Oh goodness, I love teeny tiny band rings.

Unfortunately for me, so does everyone else so I only got two items of the many I picked.

So... What's in the box?

Photobucket

Well in one I got two necklaces of my choice. The 'Ribbon Melody' & 'Maybe..' necklace. Pretty aren't they? As delicate as they look, they both are very sturdy. I've worn both a lot these past few months & they haven't dared break on me. Colour doesn't fade either, I am surprised. I personally think that thin chains are more fit for a girl, unless it's a statement necklace. I just love the way the chain drapes over every curve of the collar bone.

They gave me a few surprise goodies! I love Kean from Vanity Box, my favourite sponsor of the bunch :) I got Shooting Star & Lovin You earrings. I'm wearing the Shooting Stars earrings, cos ya know.. I adore stars. Oh, I also got the usual lollipops & a Cleopatra pouch as well.

Photobucket

Lovin You earrings. All the items look exactly as they are pictured on the site.

Moi, pretending to be a high fashion model.... No. But seriously I tried to get in pics of me wearing the items but I haven't read my cameras manual yet & currently have no idea how to focus images. Yet! But I will soon.

Anyway visit VanityBox.Com.Au, they have stuff on sale :)

Adios amigos.

Oh Look Puppies!

Photobucket
Photobucket

This is bad boy Jaguar, sadly he went home last week. But we still have Boss! :)

Photobucket

Bossy Boss! He is always always happy. So cute, we might keep him.. Maybe.

Photobucket

Boss & Jaguar together. House feels pretty empty without all the puppies here :(

I've been very M.I.A, it's cos I've been very inspired! I even had to buy a new notebook, my last one had no pages left!! Carry it around 97% of the time with me. Anyway, I've got so many ideas crammed into my head & started doing them & start another project while doing that. It's crazy! On top of that I've got school & 'things' to tend to, best start stuff while you're young.

These last two.. Or three months have been pretty crazy. I feel like I've been made to age two decades older but at the same time I feel as young & slightly (just slighty) lost as I was before all this. Which is a good mixture right? I'm still young at heart but mature enough to care about my future?

Though aside all that aging, this (private thing) is all thanks to my parents. They care for my future & if I hadn't listened to their advice, I would still be wandering. I am in a way but if all fails I've got this to fall onto. I'm secure.

Confused? Yeah I would be too but I don't want to go deep into my private life.

Oh, I've finally got round to getting a DLSR. My trusty digital camera kept producing blurry images, I've had to sharpen them which made them much more weirder... But after I bought my DLSR I realised it was put on another setting, hence the blurry images. BUT OH WELL. I'm mclovin' my DLSR.

& with my new DLSR I'm going back to youtube videos, I know right.
Oh no.... Haha.

Anyone noticed my obvious new layout? I wanted something more cleaner but I'm not feeling this too much. Going to change it again this week. I need leopard prints & something darker.... Dark like my soul. Jokes. Ew.

I'm out, I hope you're all doing well :)
