I'm back.... with a review!
AsianStuffShop.Com is an
Australian based e-store, hooray for us Australians we're getting a lot of new great e-stores lately. No more being envious of those overseas with zillion options of online shopping & cheaper shipping options.
Anyway Asian Stuff Shop sent me
Vivian 3 Tone Flower Grey to review. At first I wanted to do a review for them since they're Australian but after realizing that these lenses are a whooping 17.2MM in diameter! Insane or whut right? I crapped myself & kindly refused to do a review for them.... But they were ever so kind to explain to me all this complicated shiz about the diameter sizing which I will quote for you all. It really shows their excellent customer service.
"
Regarding the 17mm, please read the explanation as below. Lenses that have a diameter of above 15mm are measuring their diameter using the push-flat measurement system. What this means basically, the lenses are pushed down to a flat circle to have their diameters measured which makes their diameters larger(imagine pushing down your lens so it is flat against the surface of a table). In contrast, the diameters of Geo lenses that we are used to seeing are measured by the diameter of the curved circle of the lens without pushing it down flat(which is obviously smaller). I personally have tried these lenses and I can assure you they are no bigger than Geo Bambi lenses. J I would say they are about 15mm using curved diameter measurements. Have seen your pictures in Bambi lenses and they look beautiful on you btw Lenses cannot be manufactured larger than 15mm as they wouldn't fit your eye (haha!) and it poses health risks of suffocating your whole eye therefore no manufacturer would manufacture such large lenses hun." -

(Omg wtf, eyes can suffocate?!)
It's all true. Although the 17.2MM freaked me out, they truly are about the size of GEO bambi lenses when worn. I'm pretty sure that these lenses are deeply inspired by the Bambi series (
Seriously 90% of new lens design are 'inspired' by the Bambi series.) but unlike the other inspired Bambu series lenses, these are the most altered and uh better. Yeah I said it, better than the original Bambis. Why? Well I'll tell you why, the limbal ring isn't as harsh. Bambis are much darker & I don't like that. The Vivian limbal ring may seem thicker from promotional images but they are just a tad lighter & the jagged edge blends into your eye quiet nicely despite how rugged it appears.
They're also a more tolerable colour compared to the Bambi greys. The Bambis in comparison to these Vivians are much more opaque & vibrant these are also vibrant but much more toned down in brightness. The puuurfect shade of grey to go with my black hair (
Omg loves. Top 10 best decision I've made in 2011, go black yo.)
About two weeks ago I was in Terry White chemist right in front of the Napolean Perdis counter & the make up artist there who was about one meter maybe an extra half away from me asked me if I my eyes are naturally grey or I had contacts in. When I told her I had contacts she was what I think impressed with the lenses. Her own words, '
I couldn't even tell they are in! They blend in so good'.
The packaging of the lenses, & free animal case. All this was package nicely by Asian Stuff Shop but unfortunately I didn't get a snap of it before I opened it. My bad!
I give Asian Stuff Shop a rating of 5 stars. That is my honest opinion, I'm not being biased because this is a review & they kindly sent me free shiz wtf, just no. I believe judging from our exchange of emails & truth from what they're customer service claims are that they are a trustworthy e-store to purchase from... I also believe they may be the only ones
for now who sell the Vivian 3 Tone Flowers. So get on it people. If you're a frequent facebook user, they also have a frequently updated facebook profile which you can befriend & purchase goofdies from
here.
Oh if you're interested in these, please check out Phuju's review on them as well:
