Ash Hair/Toning

Photobucket

Dying my hair such a light colour and being Asian I have horrible red tones. I wanted to get something to keep my hair from going brassy and to hep keep it ash toned. I was recommended Schwarzkopf IGORA Colour Gloss (Conditioning Colour Mousse) in 8-1 Mystic Krystal. It's $21.95 AUD at Price Attack. I thought this was a bit pricey for something from Schwarzkopf since I sometimes see Schwarzkopf products for only $2.00 at discount stores. I was warned this product will make my hair a shade or two darker as it tones but I was fine with that, I actually want my hair to be darker so I don't appear so bimbo-ish haha. Oh and with this product you have to get the shade right for your hair colour, so best ask an experienced sales person for assistant.

You have to apply this to towel dried hair, instead of showering and applying this and having to hop in again to rinse out I just spray warm water on my hair to dampen it.

Photobucket

Has to be held upside down.

Photobucket

The texture is really thick and creamy, exactly like mousse the edible kind!

Photobucket

When applied it looks like beach tousled hair, it does look like it's drying but once it's all rinsed off hair is ashier and very silky.

Photobucket Photobucket

My hair is a tad darker but not by so much and ashy! It's also silky. Having to go from dyed pitch black hair to platinum blonde for this shade the condition of my hair was brittle and I cannot even run my fingers through it without pulling my scalp. This product has deeply conditioned my hair within a mere 15 minutes, my hair is now visibly smoother and very very glossy!

I've only used this product once but it has impressed me. I highly recommend this for anyone who has brassy hair and wants hair to stay ashy til' the next appointment.

I forgot how having bleached hair is such a massive bitch to maintain but for now it's totally worth it! If there's any other products you guys use and love please recommend them, sharing is caring my loves.

kiss hug kiss hug!

VanityBox.Com.Au PeriPera BB Cream

This is a very delayed review.... I mean I think vanity box sent me this back in November. Luckily for me they are so kind and haven't heckled me to review this sooner but hey here it is guys, my review of the PeriPera BB Cream.

Photobucket
*Image taken from Vanity Box*

I asked for the one in the middle and the box is on the right, natural beige. Which is darker than the first one, obviously.

Photobucket

The colour isn't as dark as I expected but then again it is a BB Cream and most BB Creams as far as I am concerned are used and known for whitening skin and so they're usually made in light colours. Now my facial skin is way to pale for my liking and this BB Cream has whitened my skin considerably but meanwhile got rid of the redness around my t-zone area. Particularly the redness around my nose/mouth. I also haven't had massive breakouts only little dots here and there sometimes, wtf amazing. Anyway when I first apply it gives my skin a darker tint but will oxidize and match my natural skin colour under an hour when worn by itself.

I still like to wear it daily, I either mix it with liquid bronzer or pat on pressed powder over it to get the shade I want. It gives really good coverage, reminds me of my revlon photoready foundation which I love but hey unlike photoready this is a BB cream! I feel like I'm doing my skin favours wearing this instead of ol' liquid foundation. I personally think it's build-able as well for those stubborn pigmented areas.

Photobucket

Photo taken with my digital camera, flash on. The BB cream makes my face really white when the flash is on but without flash the shade matches my whole body. This is a good thing I guess because it will hide flaws if you don't mind your face being a completely different shade to your body but this is a very common problem with make up lovers anyway, right? I've been wearing this since I got it months ago, you can refer to my old posts made this year or my instagram (@misscindytang) photos to how it looks.

I know in this whole blog post I've raved about how good it is BUT while yes it has visibly improved my skin, my skin still isn't close to perfect as I would like it to be. It is still splotchy and occasionally red but not as much as before. I wear this BB cream during the day and at night I wear Bio Oil as well so that also may have contributed in the improvement of my skin along with the BB cream.

Despite all that I highly recommend it, as it's a BB cream and much healthier for skin than wearing liquid foundation daily. It's only $18.50, and lasts forever. I don't even think I've used a quarter of the bottle yet, a definite purchase for me once I've used it up. You read the detailed specifics here: http://vanitybox.com.au/cosmetics/peripera-bb-cream

Did I mention that it smells really good?

I will be reviewing PeriPera Wonder Of Lips next week (Yay I'm on a blogging roll again!) thanks to Kean from Vanity Box! Kean always spoils me with goodies even though I take forever to review haha. Shows how great the Vanity Box team is!

Lots of love,
From a Vanity Box fan.

Weekend Sales

Omg. Ok, so those of you who follow me on twitter or instagram (@misscindytang) may know that I have bleached my hair! Which is very hypocritical of me since not so long ago I made a pledge to never let my hair mingle with peroxide ever again but the temptation was so damn hard to resist. I just had to and did, it was amazing walking out of the salon with a new shade.

Photobucket

Myself left and Jessyka on the right. I wanted an ash brown that's sort of on the grey tone/shade side but this is ok I suppose. I could always tone it to perfection. Took a total of seven ass numbing hours to colour correct my hair and then dye it. There was a lot of peroxide involved my hair was so heavy full of it but luckily for me my hair isn't in bad shape /says the hairdresser.

^ Funny story behind that picture, I was actually tippy toeing and oh gawd so embarrassing. Jessyka had to kneel down a bit because I was struggling to tippy toe lol.

Proceeded to kill my hair some more. Ironing it with no heat protection, such a badass aren't I.

We had a garage sale on Sunday. I was selling BadBarbie stock that I won't be selling up on Demons & Diamonds... Oh well maybe. I'm selling brand new clothes, accessories, bags and shoes at really cheap prices. Sold a pair brand new $300.00 shoes for a measly $20.00. Most brand new shoes are only $10.00!

We're going to have a final garage sale this weekend. There will also be Jessyka's stuff for sale also, she has loads of pretty formal dresses. If you're in Adelaide and free this weekend please come by to our sale, it's at 62 Fairbanks Drive Paralowie. To clarify, it is not my house nor Jessyka's.

Yes I realise I'm under dressed wedged in between Miss Fendi and Mr Burberry. Instead of getting ready and 'sexy' I was wasting time playing tetris, FML!!! And not to mention I look friggen short despite wearing my highest wedges! Hmph.

Us three looking at the Sugarbowl menu intently. My hair done by Jessyka, it's her signature Jessyka's curl. She does make-up and hair for events or whatever so contact her if you reside in South Australia and want to look stunning.

The guy behind all the photos above in this post, my old friend Jay. He and Jessyka are going to be models for Demons & Diamonds.
